I try to watch the Rose Parade with my mother every year. It's like a tradition with us. And we both hope to one day be able to see it in person. This year I didn't tell her I was coming, just showed up on Friday morning and surprised her. She was thrilled. I took this shot obviously to show the parade is on the tv (I wish I had waited until a real flowery float was on the screen but I was having camera battery issues... I know, way to be prepared for the first day of my new project) but also to show a small snippet of my mother's love of snowmen. They can be found all over her house during the winter months.
