One Of My Favorite Days

The second weekend in October always means 3 things to me. First, Emma's birthday is today and even when the 9th doesn't fall on the weekend exactly, we usually celebrate it this weekend. Second, it's the annual Beeson family hayride and that is something we all look forward to all year long. Thirdly, it's always the weekend Mt. Vernon holds their Apple Butter Makin' Days festival. It's just a great day of fall activities (craft fairs, junk food, parade) followed by a great night of fall activities (hot dog roast, hayride, hot chocolate). And this year the weather was exceptionally beautiful. I can't wait until I get to do this again next year.
